This policy explains how BOOKD. uses cookies and similar technologies, such as browser storage, and how you can control them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local and session storage, work in the same way. We refer to all of them as cookies.
2. Essential cookies (always on)
These keep you signed in and secure. They also remember your booking selections while you sign in (stored only for your current browser tab) and remember your cookie choice for 12 months (bookd_consent). The site cannot work without them, so they can't be switched off.
3. Analytics cookies (off unless you agree)
These help us understand how BOOKD. is used and find slow or broken pages, for example through Vercel Analytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring. We load them only after you accept them.
4. Marketing cookies (off unless you agree)
These measure how promotions perform and help us show offers relevant to you. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies. If we ever do, we will load them only with your consent.
5. Third-party content
When you view a salon's map, Google Maps loads and may set its own cookies under Google's policies.
6. Managing your choices
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or block cookies in your browser settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier processing.
7. Changes
If we add new kinds of cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent again where needed. Questions: [To be confirmed].
