Terms of Service

1. What BOOKD. is

BOOKD. is a booking platform that connects you with independent salons and specialists. The salons provide the services, and BOOKD. provides the booking, payment, reminder and loyalty tools. Each salon is responsible for the services it performs.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or over, give accurate details and verify your mobile number. Keep access to your account secure. You are responsible for bookings made from it. One account per person.

3. Bookings

A booking is confirmed only when you see the confirmation screen and receive the confirmation on WhatsApp.

Each salon sets its own prices, and you see them before you confirm. Service durations are estimates set by the salon.

4. Booking fee and deposits

A booking confirmation fee of EGP 15 applies to each reservation unless a promotion waives it.

If you have 2 or more no-shows, you may be asked for a refundable deposit on future bookings. Our Refund Policy explains when fees and deposits are refunded.

5. Cancelling and rescheduling

You can cancel or reschedule from Your account. Cancelling is free up to 4 hours before your appointment, which gives the salon time to offer the slot to someone else.

If you cancel less than 4 hours before your appointment, or don't attend, you pay a late-cancellation fee of 10% of the cancelled services' price instead of the full price. You also lose any deposit, and a no-show counts towards the no-show limit.

6. Arriving late

Your salon will wait up to 10 minutes for you after your booked start time.

If you arrive more than 10 minutes late and booked two or more services, your first service is cancelled and the rest go ahead at their booked times. You pay 10% of the cancelled service's price.

If you booked one service and arrive more than 10 minutes late, the booking is cancelled and you pay 10% of its price. It counts as a no-show.

7. Glow Points

You earn Glow Points for completed visits, verified reviews, referrals and rebooking. Points have no cash value, can't be transferred or exchanged for money, and rewards depend on partner salons' availability.

We may change the programme with notice. We will remove points gained through fraud or misuse.

8. Reviews

You can review a salon only after a completed booking. Reviews must be honest, about your own experience, and must not contain offensive content, other people's personal data or advertising.

We may remove reviews that break these rules. Salons can reply publicly but cannot remove reviews.

9. Acceptable use

You must not make fake or speculative bookings, misuse promotions or points, copy or scrape the platform, or interfere with its operation.

10. Liability

The salon is responsible for the quality and safety of its services, and we will help resolve disputes. As far as the law allows, BOOKD.'s liability for a booking is limited to the fees you paid BOOKD. for it.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Egyptian Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018.

11. Suspension

We may suspend or close accounts involved in fraud, abuse, repeated no-shows or serious breaches of these terms. Where appropriate, we will warn you first.

12. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms and will tell you about important changes before they apply. These terms are governed by Egyptian law, and the courts of Cairo have jurisdiction. Contact: [To be confirmed].
