1. Who we are

2. The data we collect

Account data: your name, mobile number, and, if you choose to add them, your email address and profile photo.

Booking data: the salon, specialist, services, date and time you book, notes you add, and your booking, cancellation and no-show history.

Payment data: transaction references and payment status from our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number. Card details go directly to the payment provider.

Reviews: the ratings, comments and photos you post after a completed visit.

Device and usage data: basic technical data such as your IP address and browser type, needed to run the service securely. We collect wider usage analytics only if you accept analytics cookies.

Location: only if you allow it, to show salons near you. We do not store your precise location.

3. How we use your data

To create and secure your account and verify your mobile number.

To make, manage and remind you about bookings, including WhatsApp reminders 2 hours and 30 minutes before your appointment.

To take booking fees and deposits and to process refunds.

To run Glow Points and publish verified reviews.

To prevent fraud, abuse and repeated no-shows.

To improve BOOKD. (only with your consent for analytics) and to send you offers (only if you agreed to receive them).

4. Our legal basis

We process your data to perform our agreement with you (your bookings and account), with your consent (analytics and marketing cookies, location, profile photo, offers), for our legitimate interests (security and fraud prevention), and to meet legal obligations such as tax and accounting records. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.

5. Who we share it with

The salon you book receives your name, mobile number, booking details and notes so it can serve you.

Payment providers (Fawry, Instapay, Vodafone Cash and card processors) receive what they need to process your payment.

Service providers who run the platform for us, such as Google Firebase and Google Cloud for hosting and Meta's WhatsApp Business service for messages, process data only on our instructions.

We share data with authorities only where the law requires it. We never sell your personal data.

6. Transfers outside Egypt

Some of our service providers process data outside Egypt. When this happens, we rely on the safeguards and conditions required by Egyptian data protection law.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is open. We keep booking and payment records for as long as tax, accounting and dispute-resolution rules require, then delete or anonymise them. You can delete your account at any time from Your profile.

8. Your rights

You can access and correct your data in Your profile, delete your account, withdraw consent through Cookie settings, and object to marketing at any time.

9. Security

We encrypt data in transit, restrict access to it, and process all payments server-side through licensed providers. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your data, we will notify you and the regulator as the law requires.

BOOKD. is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
